To be eligible for the automated service, you will need the following:
- Access to the email on the account
- The answer to the secret question
If you do not have these, you will not be able to recover your account without assistance.
Step1: Recover Daybreak Username
Click the link above to recover your username, you should do this even if you are sure you have the right username (are you positive your username is DarkeLf2 and not DarkeLf24893234?)
If you aren't getting the email, check your junk and spam folders. You may also be using the wrong email, try any other emails you have.
Step 2: Reset Password
Entering your Daybreak Username in the required field will generate a password reset email. You will need to know the answer to your secret question (if you have one set.)
Didn't get the email? Make sure you use the Recover Daybreak Username link first to verify that you are using the right email.

If you are unable to recover your account using the automated system, then you will need to contact customer support to help you locate or reset information. Remember: You will still need to use the automated password reset process as customer support is unable to reset passwords for you.
You will need to provide the following information:
- Daybreak username*:
- Email address on account*:
- Answer to secret question:
- name on credit card:
- last 4 of credit card:
*You will need to provide either the Daybreak username or email address used on the account in order for customer service to locate your account.
I have this information and I'm ready to put in a ticket!
(You may need to create a new account in order to put in a ticket)
Before you can contact support, you must be logged into an account and you must run at least 1 search or view an article (this one counts.) Obviously you probably can't use the account you are trying to recover to log in, so simply make a new free account if you don't have one already. We also have an article on how to contact support. Need help creating a new account?
Trying to use these tools more than 3 times in any combination will trigger a lock for 24 hours. Player Support will not be able to help if this happens and you will have to wait a full 24 hours from the last attempt.
In order for customer support to assist, you will need to remember at least provide either the username or the email address on the account. Without that information, they will not be able to locate the account. If you aren't sure, see the information about guessing at the bottom of this list.
Billing history is one of the primary ways for customer service to determine ownership on the account. Without it, there is no guarantee that they will be able to assist you. However, if you set a secret question (and can remember the answer), then you may be in luck. If you are unable to provide billing or the secret answer on the account, customer service will not be able to assist.
The most common reason for players not to get the recovery email is that they are trying to recover an account that is not on that email. Always make sure that you recover the username first. Also, have you checked your junk and spam folders? If you haven't set up Daybreak Games in your email settings, our emails might be diverted.
Secret question and answer are important account recovery and security tools. If you still have access to the email on the account, you can recover it without a secret question (but will be forced to create one.) If you have no secret question and are unable to verify billing on the account, customer service will not be able to assist.
We realize that some accounts might have credit cards that haven't been used in several years. In all cases, it is better to provide the information if you can get it. Customer service can't guarantee a recovery without that information.
Secret question and answer are important account recovery and security tools. Without the secret answer, you will not be able to reset your password. You also may not be able to verify ownership sufficiently enough for customer service to assist you in editing your account. Have you tried guessing? (See below).
Typos are typically pretty easy to fix, as long as you know the answer. It's also pretty common for players to put partial answers (city for place of birth, when originally the city and state were entered.) Fake answers are great way to secure your account, if you can remember what you put. If you put something fake and can't remember it, you might not be able to recover your account.
Yes, you are allowed to guess. However, not all guesses are created equal. You may have had several pets or email addresses over the years, but your place of birth and mother's maiden name don't usually change. You are allowed to give us 4-5 guesses where appropriate.
