How do I optimize game performance for Z1BR?
If your system meets the minimum system requirements and you are looking to optimize game performance you may want to try out the following:
Update your graphics drivers
Typically, the current graphics drivers are the most stable.
You can find download instructions from the manufacturer of your graphics card.
Reduce Overall Quality on graphics settings.
By design, the game starts off in High quality to provide a richer visual experience. If you are having trouble running the game, try turning this setting down.
From inside the game:
- Hit Escape to bring up the Game Window
- Choose Settings
- On the Graphics Tab, change the Overall Quality to a lower setting
From outside the game:
- Run Z1BR and log in, but do not click Play
- Click on the Advanced Tools icon (looks like a gear icon)
- Choose the option Open Game Directory
- Open the file UserOptions.ini
- Change the following settings
- [Display]
- HDPixelPlus=0.750000
- [Rendering]
- EffectsQuality=1
- TextureQuality=1
- ShadowQuality=1
- ModelQuality=1
- FogShadowsEnable=0
- AO=0
- LightingQuality=0
- FloraQuality=1
- ParticleLOD=0
- VSync=0
Reduce game resolution.
More pixels means more system impact. Reduce game resolution to help improve performance.
From inside the game:
- Hit Escape to bring up the Game Window
- Choose Settings
- On the Graphics Tab, change the Resolution to a lower setting
You can also adjust the Game resolution in the UserOptions.ini file but we highly recommend that you do so from within the game instead.
Reduce render distance.
Adjusting the in-game render distance down will help improve frame rate.
From inside the game:
- Hit Escape to bring up the Game Window
- Choose Settings
- On the Graphics Tab, change the Render Distance to a lower setting
From outside the game:
- Run Z1BR and log in, but do not click Play
- Click on the Advanced Tools icon (looks like a gear icon)
- Choose the option Open Game Directory
- Open the file UserOptions.ini
- Change the following settings
