What happens to cheaters in Z1BR?
We take action on accounts for cheating based on a combination of factors including but not limited to; cheat detection tools, video evidence, player reports, as well as direct observation. We do not base our decisions on a single report or piece of evidence and always work hard to get things right.
Consequences for violation of our fairplay guidelines may include but are not limited to:
- Account suspension, lock, or permanent banishment from the game
- Removal of all match statistics and leaderboard placement
- Removal of match rewards; including Credits, Skulls and Rewards
- Ineligibility to participate in events, tournaments and contests
- Voice chat restriction
It is vital that you not run software which modifies the Z1BR client in any way. Do not modify any game files or attempt to modify them in memory. This same rule applies to data that Z1BR uses for gameplay. If you do this, you are indistinguishable from various cheats that work in the same manner. The result of this is that you will likely be banned from gameplay.
There are some applications that modify the Windows or DirectX environment without changing the client. These may also result in actions against your account unless we specifically exempt them and declare them as ok to use.
The most simple guidance here is, do not use third party programs which change the Z1BR gameplay, or change the Z1BR files, in any way unless it has been specifically cleared by Daybreak Games.
The above does not apply to user initiated *.INI changes, those are allowed, although setting your own options incorrectly can result in problems.
