We suggest doing a clean installation of your video driver. Many issues can arise from having multiple video drivers installed or leftover files from a previous video driver which can result in rogue registry entries and other issues.

If you are unsure what kind of video card you have; the easiest way to find your graphics card is to run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool: Click Start. On the Start menu, click Run. In the Open box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.

Once you know the type of video card you have, do the following:

  1. Remove the current drivers or driver framework from the "Add/Remove programs" or "Programs and features" applet in Windows control panel.
  2. Refer to the links below and reinstall the latest graphics drivers to your system.

It's also a good idea on AMD systems to make sure the chip set drivers are up to date.
