Suggestions to resolve crashing and freezing
Below Min Specifications
Check to make sure that your computer meets the minimum specifications of the game you are playing. If your computer does not meet those specifications, you will most likely run into freezing or crashing issues. The only way to resolve that would be an upgrade to your computers hardware. Tom's Hardware published a side-by-side comparison for video cards. Make sure your video card meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.
Outdated Video Drivers
If you have not already done so, you will want to make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card and updates for Windows.
Razor Snyapse Driver Update
If using Razer Synapse and Razer products, make sure that your Razer Synapse software/drivers are up to date. http://www.razerzone.com/synapse/ or check for updates through the application itself.
If your available memory (RAM) is below 1 GB before the game is launched, you may run into issues of crashing because of low memory (RAM).
Running multiple programs on your computer at the same time takes up a lot of resources and can cause issues with game performance and possibly make the game crash or freeze. There may be conflicts with other programs and the H1Z1 client as well. Try closing other programs or running a clean boot on your computer to stop any conflicting programs.
Runtime / C++ Error
If you are receiving a "Runtime or C++" error message, then you need to update the C++ libraries used by the LaunchPad. Please visit this article for more information on how to do that.
Always ensure that your computer has all of the latest recommended Windows updates.
Run as Admin
Assure you are running in Administrator Mode to address installation errors.
- Set H1Z1.exe and launchpad.exe to run as administrator (Right click the program or shortcut and choose the option Run as Administrator)
Corrupted Game Files
If you are experiencing crashing and/or lag, you may have one or more corrupted or outdated game files that is conflicting with the game. Click here for help validating game files.
