Suggestions to Resolve Crashing and Freezing Issues
Crashing and Freezing issues can arise for a variety of system related reasons. Below is a list of the most common causes and some suggestions to help resolve the issue. We hope they are helpful for you!
Below Minimum Hardware Specifications
Please check to make sure that the computer hardware meets the minimum specifications of the game you would like to play. If the computer does not meet the listed specifications, you may experience crashing or freezing issues. The only way to resolve this would be to upgrade the computer hardware to meet or exceed the specifications.
Often times it can be the video card is preventing successful play of the game and Tom's Hardware published a side-by-side comparison for video cards that often help our players choose what would be best for their situation. We simply recommend making sure the dedicated video card meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.
Outdated Video Card Drivers
It will be useful to make sure the computer has the latest stable video card driver to help prevent many crashing and freezing issues. If you know the video device installed on the computer, you can find the associated driver from the AMD or Nvidia web sites.

Low RAM
If the computer does not have more than 1 GB of available memory (RAM) before the game is launched, the game may experience crashing issues due to low memory.
3rd Party Software Conflicts
If the computer is running multiple programs at the same time takes up a lot of resources and can cause issues with game performance and possibly make the game crash or freeze. There also may exist unknown conflicts with programs. We would suggest closing other programs or running a clean boot on the computer to stop any conflicting programs.
Runtime / C++ Error
If you are receiving a "Runtime or C++" error message, then you need to update the Microsoft C++ libraries used by the LaunchPad. You can download C++ here.
Windows Updates
Always ensure that your computer has all of the latest recommended Windows updates.
Run as an Admin in Windows
Running the game or LaunchPad in Administrator Mode in Windows can help address errors as well.
Corrupted Game Files
If you are experiencing crashing and performance issues, the computer may have one or more corrupted or outdated game files that is conflicting with the game. Click here for assistance with validating the game files.
Razor Synapse Driver Update
If you are using Razer Synapse and Razer products, please make sure that your Razer Synapse software or drivers are up to date with the latest stable version.
